VEnus as Evening Star - my First Sighting 12/9/22VENUS
Venus as Evening Star Got my first view this December of beloved Venus. We have had much cloud cover, rain, fog, and cloudy horizons until today. Crystal clear viewing. The golden light and the sight of Venus brought tears of gratitude and live and connection to my eyes and heart. Sun Moves into Ophiuchus - Dec 2, 2022OPHIUCHUS GATEWAY ~ DEC 2022
SUN IN OPHIUCHUS ~ NOV 30 - DEC 17, 2022 MERCURY moves into Ophiuchus November 21 Venus moves into Ophiuchus November 22 Ophiuchus is the Thirteenth Constellation on the Zodiac. Nestled between Scorpius and Sagittarius - the Sun makes an early December trek through this constellation every year. Known as the serpent bearer or snake charmer - known in mythology as the “snake hunter” and represented as a hero fighting with a reptile. To the ancient Greeks, the constellation represented the god Apollo struggling with a huge snake that guarded the Oracle of Delphi. Later myths identified Ophiuchus with Laocoön, the Trojan priest of Poseidon, who warned his fellow Trojans about the Trojan Horse and was later slain by a pair of sea serpents sent by the gods to punish him. According to Roman eramythography, the figure represents the healer Asclepius, who learned the secrets of keeping death at bay after observing one serpent bringing another healing herbs. When the sun leaves Ophiuchus, it moves into the region of the sky rich with the Milky Way, and right by the sky point of the galactic center.
